Classic Lodges has launched an Autumn afternoon tea menu offering a modern twist on classic sandwich fillings, cakes and sweets, alongside traditional teas and homemade scones.

Classic Lodges has launched an autumn afternoon tea menu offering a modern twist on classic sandwich fillings, cakes and sweets, alongside traditional teas and homemade scones.

Chefs from all of the company’s 10 hotels meet three times a year to discuss and decide each seasonal menu.

The autumn menu comprises a selection of freshly made to order finger sandwiches. Guests can choose from smoked ham and wholegrain mustard, mature cheddar with plum and apple chutney, roast beef with creamed horseradish and rocket, hummus and roasted red pepper and lemon pepper chicken with garlic mayonnaise and a homemade scotch egg.

There’s also a selection of autumnal treats including carrot cake, treacle tart, banoffee fool and white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake.

Drinks include a tea menu with traditional teas and to go with homemade scones with clotted cream and jam. Alcoholic drink options are available including Lansons champagne, prosecco and a selection of classic cocktails.

The Autumn Afternoon Tea is available now at all 10 owned Classic Lodges hotels until November 30.
