St Martins Lane hotel has announced a one-off cocktail collaboration with niche perfumers, Miller Harris.
For two months from August 27, the hotel’s late-night speakeasy, Blind Spot, will be serving a bespoke cocktail menu based on the latest Miller Harris fragrances – Blousy, Brighton Rock and DANCE Amongst The Lace.
Like the perfumes, the cocktails will offer guests a sensory experience designed to transport them on a journey from a 1930’s literary classic to modern day London.
Based on the Miller Harris scents, the Blousy cocktail, containing Pink Pepper gin, crème de mûre and passion fruit, and the Brighton Rock cocktail, containing Cenote Blanco tequila, violet liqueur and elderflower cordial, are inspired by Graham Greene’s classic novel, Brighton Rock, and the 1930s in which it is set. Taking a more modern approach, the DANCE Amongst The Lace cocktail combines Stoli Elit chamomile vodka, Gabriel Boudier apricot brandy, vanilla and grapefruit bitters. Influenced by London’s green spaces and how nature and the city co-exist in an urban era.
The cocktails are priced at £13 each and are available at Blind Spot until October 27. A miniature flight of all three Miller Harris cocktails is available for £22.
In addition to the cocktail menu at Blind Spot, St Martins Lane is offering a Miller Harris experience for guests. Priced from £344, the package – Scent-ral London – will include bed and breakfast at St Martins Lane, a Miller Harris cocktail flight, and a bottle of the guest’s preferred fragrance, based on their scent profiling – at the Miller Harris shop on Monmouth Street, a ten-minute walk from the hotel – with a choice from Blousy (100ml), Brighton Rock (100ml) or DANCE Amongst The Lace (50ml).
