To celebrate the launch of the new Matthew Williamson range from Newby Teas, Cadogan’s by Adam Handling at Belmond Cadogan Hotel in Chelsea will be featuring the teas throughout Afternoon Tea Week (August 12 – 18).
The pâtissiers at Cadogan’s have created a selection of pastries, complementing the flavours of the collection of loose-leaf tea blends and caddies.
The special pastry selection during Afternoon Tea Week includes orange and lemongrass cremeux; passion fruit curd tart with coconut mousse; and salted caramel sacher with milk chocolate chantilly.
British designer Matthew Williamson has created three original designs in his signature style for the tea caddies, inspired by the Rajasthan region of India, featuring exotic colours and elaborately hand painted flora and fauna including elephants, tigers and butterflies. He has worked with Newby Teas to select black and green tea blends that echo his passion for the Indian continent.
Diners can make their choice from three tea blends: Maharaja’s Breakfast, Exotic Earl Grey, Jasmine Rose Garden.
The special afternoon tea during Afternoon Tea week is available every day from 13.30 to 17.30 and is priced at £55 per head. Reservations can be made via the website.
Cadogan’s by Adam Handling, the tea lounge at the newly-opened Belmond Cadogan Hotel in Chelsea, launched its afternoon tea experience earlier this year. The offering has been developed by the hotel’s chef patron and restaurateur, Adam Handling, in collaboration with pastry chef, Chris Underwood.
