Yorebridge House, the former historic Grade II-listed Old School and Headmaster’s House in the Yorkshire Dales, has partnered with the famous Champagne House to create The Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle Tasting Room.
The multi-award-winning three AA-rosette Restaurant with 11 Rooms was created by owners Dave and Charlotte Reilly back in 2008.
They had felt for a long time that their Wine Cellar would be an ideal space to convert into a dedicated Tasting Room, and it seemed the perfect partnership for them to work together on this new and exclusive venture.
It is now a very tasteful and stylish conversion, offering private dining for up to 10 people, who will have their own dedicated staff, and specially designed menus, with Champagne pairing for each course on the menu.
Dave said: “It has been quite a journey, from drawing up the plans, to the actual completion. It’s an old building dating back to the 1850s, so we weren’t sure what we would come across.
“And there were quite a few challenges to face with the structure of the building, not least getting a beautiful, bespoke and rather large Italian Marble table top down the narrow stairs!
“But the end results are way beyond what we first set out to achieve. We are absolutely delighted, and know that our guests will love our very special, exclusive Laurent-Perrier Tasting Room.”
As Laurent-Perrier is a close family run business, recognised throughout the world since 1812, and with Yorebridge House having a similar family ethos, they sit well together.
David Hesketh MW, managing director, Laurent-Perrier UK Ltd, said: “Champagne Laurent-Perrier are delighted that our continued partnership with Yorebridge House Hotel sees the opening of the dedicated Grand Siècle Room. The transformed cellars of this marvellous boutique hotel boast a unique atmospheric space in which to pair the great champagnes of Laurent-Perrier with The Dales’ finest cooking.”
